L is for LOVE... A Vintage Rustic Chic Valentine's Day Inspiration by Suzanna March Photography for Sparkle & Hay

Oh where to begin on today's post... I hardly even know...

 A few weeks back I had the AH-mazing pleasure of working with Suzanna March Photography &  Lydia of La Vida Dulce Cake on a very special Valentine's Day Inspiration Shoot.  Inspired by the idea of a dessert table for two; this shoot is filled to the brim with the daintiest of details.  From the perfectly pink china (Suzanna's lovely mom's collection), DIY project ideas (breakdown of projects to follow later this week), cake baking and decorating (yes, you read that right - Lydia actually taught us how to decorate some pretty-as-can-be cakes that would be perfect for your wedding), charming tissue flowers from Treasured Editions (who is so lovely to extend a discount code to you lucky readers), and a little bit of rustic chic shimmer sprinkled in; this shoot will forever be near and dear to my heart and not just because it is Valentine's Day!

 The Inspiration: Let's set the scene shall we?
A mild New England winter Valentine's Day; your sweetheart lures you out the door with a smile, and the promise of a Sunday drive.  You meander along some country roads, driving by the very apple orchard where he proposed... the car slows... and what do you see?  A table set for two; a buffet filled with treats, a pink prosecco toast, as well as blankets & a pot of hot tea.

(for the record, I decorated that white cake and the cupcakes - and I have the photos from Suzanna to prove it! *note, I could not have even attempted this without Lydia's instruction, and looking at the results I must say she is an amazing teacher!!).
