1 Thing I love: Wedding Dresses with Dyed Crinoline

I have very few "regrets" or things I would have done differently for my wedding (I truly could count them all on 1 hand & they honestly did not detract one bit from my day) but this is one of those things if I could go back and do it again I would - dye the crinoline under my wedding gown.  Wouldn't it be so charming to have the crinoline under your gown tinted to just the lightest shade of a peachy blush pink (similar to the Sparkle & Hay header color)... I may have to see if this can be done before my wear it again session...

or for those of you who want even more color (a la the Gwen Stefani look) dying the bottom tip of the gown is a gorgeous option as well!

All of this inspired by this pretty image from SMP yesterday!

a perfect little something blue no?

*note; I did TRY to have my dress dyed but unfortunately it was at the last minute - at my second to last fitting a mere two weeks or less before the wedding and my fitting expert Akelina at Kleinfeld strongly urged me not to chance it.  So if you are considering this learn from me and ask about it early!

I loved the aqua blue crinoline on SMP yesterday! It's the perfect "something blue"!! I didn't have crinoline but if I did, I know I'd look back & wish I'd dyed it blue.

I kind of wanted some pink in my dress but didn't think my family would be happy about it. This could be my compromise.

Ahhh!! I have a love hate relationship with these kids of things because one side of me LOVES LOVES LOVES it where the other side of me is wishing she could go back and do it all over just for the sake of having dyed crinoline. hahah So clever :)

What a sweet way to introduce color...just peeping out from under your gown hem as you walk down the aisle or when you have your first dance at the reception!

I've never seen this before, but I think it's such a great idea! It's a perfect way to tie in a little bit of your wedding colors to your dress & makes for some great pics!
