Thursday Purseday & Things that make me Smile

Happy Thursday Purseday!  My pick of the week is this amazing Fleur Amour clutch from JCrew.  Maybe it's the name, maybe it's the color, maybe it's simply because it's J.Crew, but I just adore this bag.  I think it would be perfect to throw over your shoulder and jazz up any everyday t-shirt & jeans outfit or carry as a clutch out at night.

I know this is kind of random, but for some reason it struck me that I needed to have a post with a few fun things that I love and always make me smile ...

Popcorn... mix that with another thing I love (weddings) and get Popcorn Bars at Weddings!! By far my favorite snack, I could eat popcorn everyday.  I love the idea of a gourmet popcorn bar, fun & yummy!

Fabric Garlands by HankandHunt...  so soft and pretty, the fancy cream muslin is just too fun & fabulous and would add that special something different any party or event!

And if the garlands weren't great enough - the new mini party pack = love!

Lilly Pulitzer; anything.  Who says Lilly is just for summer?  Always brings a smile to my face and brightens my day.  Just plain fun & prep.
 

Manicures & Pedicures with Essie Ballet Slippers; don't get them nearly enough but every time I do I leave feeling so much happier and always question why I don't go treat myself more often...

Because it is my favorite time of year... 

(but really, anything Starbucks will do)

And because I couldn't help myself... anything Rustic Chic...  like this gorgeous wedding on SMP!

P.S. I think (hope) it goes without saying that Dan, my friends, & family are the number one thing that make me smile but if I had pictures of them on here then this post would be miles long! 

Cake Pink & White

With less than a month to go until the wedding the details are in overdrive; an important one of which is our cake design!  I keep coming back to a simple off-white & blush toned cake...



But I also adore a simple cake with some natural details...



Or a combination of the two... simple meets floral...

A Weddings Filled Weekend & Friday Love

Happy Friday everyone!  Dan and I are heading to Massachusetts this weekend for this lovely couple's wedding!!  Cannot wait to celebrate with them!

Thursday Purseday: Longchamp

Today I had to feature my FAVORITE bags... the Longchamp Le Pliage series.  I carry one of these bags in some way shape or form (and color - navy, tan, or black) 360 out of 365 days of the year.  Since this is my go-to, I just knew I had to share it with all of you!

And (for those of you not familiar with the bag) they fold up to these teeny tiny pouches for ease of storage & travelling!  LOVE it!

Suprise! It's an Engagement Shoot

Sent from Kaylan Photography this couple didn't know that they would be having a mini-engagement photo session until about 5 minutes before the shoot!  A close friend threw the lovely couple, Katie & Austin, a "Fiesta" themed wedding shower.  As soon as they walked in they were handed a gift bag... opening it to find a frame with no picture but a note that said: "Reserved for your Engagement Photo!"  Kaylan immediately grabbed the surprised couple and took them outside for some photos.  (What a great gift, right?!) An as if that wasn't enough a beautiful sunset surprised them too! This shoot is obviously one filled with happy love - congratulations to the beautiful couple!

Hana Floral Design & Boutique

As I have mentioned numerous times, I simply adore every single one of our wedding vendors/partners (can I please call them friends?) who are all working to make our big day everything my little mind has dreamed of and more. Today I wanted to give you a proper introduction to another member of our "dream team" - Yumiko & her crew over at Hana Floral Design & Boutique.  I will be completely honest and say that at the onset of our planning I did not think flowers would play a large role in our wedding;  I was a simple margarita daisy taste kind of girl... until I met Yumiko.  In addition to being enthusiastic & sweet as can be she is absolutely positively crazy talented and "got" my vision from day one.  I could not go one more minute without featuring some of her work her... so here you go - enjoy!
