I am totally into the idea of transforming items used in the wedding into home items - loving these examples courtesy of love&lavender.
From doily wrapped favors to...
Fabulous lace "chandelier" or doily runner.

OBSESSED
I have very quickly become absolutely obsessed with this morning's wedding featured on Snippet&Ink; and I would bet 99% of you have too! It is a dream... the details and atmosphere are just so beyond beautiful it makes my heart melt.
I truly just cannot get enough of it!

Registering...
While it's been a (casual) topic of conversation over the past 8 months, Dan and I need to seriously get down to business and register - soon! I am thinking that we will register 3 places...
one specialty shop (tabula tua?):
Juliska & Vietri = LOVE!
one classic (williams sonoma? crate and barrel?):
Emile Henry cookware... mmmm.... and maybe a little All Clad to go with it!
Crate and Barrel slate cheese boards & knives
(and a HUGE thanks again to Heath who just brought me this fabulous board that I LOVE and TOTALLY would have registered for!!!)
and then either one "easily accessible by all" department store (macy's?) for some basics:
OR do we register for things we REALLY need; like...
so that we can buy ourselves or restore 33 (yes 33) new ones of these:
Many of which will need to be custom sized since they didn't make standard size windows back in 1849... LOVE our antique home!
Where did you register? Any suggestions?

A Fun Board
LOVING this board for more than one reason (moss heart, wood, burlap-type fabric, antique photos).

Not your average moss initial
What an AH-mazing version of the classic moss initial.
Look at the purple berries and succulents - sigh...
and look at all of the hard work that went into making it!

Printed Burlap Chair
How did I possibly miss this December post on Design*Sponge?! A d-i-y for refurbing an old chair into a printed burlap beauty! Love, love, love!
This is the original...
Can you believe this can be made from this:
And turn into this:
A set of these would be so amazing to have at the reception, as well as in our home afterward. The hunt for some old chairs is officially ON!

Just for Fun
Absolutely nothing rustic-chic about this wedding - it is just plain bohemian-style FUN! I love it when wedding pictures make me smile and laugh out loud (almost just as much as I love it when a wedding design makes me gasp because it's so beautiful) and this wedding certainly had me wishing I was there - it looks like it was an amazing celebration.
Starting with the fact that the groom rode a bike down the aisle...
and just look at this dancing...
even the flowers were so bright and spikey and fun!
and I love their guest book poster

Paper Bag Lanterns
Revisiting my love for all things lighting - aren't these pretty (and DIY) paper bag lanterns fabulous?! They would be perfect for shower decoration, or a perhaps a summer wedding party BBQ...
Perhaps customized with a couple's design or monogram?

Fall Treats
I know, I'm crazy to even be thinking of these things as we are finally getting to enjoy some BEAUTIFUL warm spring weather, but being a fall bride my mind constantly reverts back to autumn for inspiration... especially when it comes to some rustic fall comfort-food favorites like cider donuts and caramel apples. Yummy!

SilverwareTies
What a sweet detail... love the idea of guests sitting down to their (vintage) silverware tied together with a some sort of a printed cloth ribbon.

Inspiration Board
I love looking at blog archives... they really are a great resource, particularly when looking for seasonal inspiration. Today I was looking for fall wedding posts, and happily stumbled onto this "Rustic Purple" inspiration board from an old 2008 post on Weddings Fresh - so pretty with the deep purples and warm wood tones.
Looking at this made me realize that I never posted the gorgeous inspiration board that Sarah made up for our wedding! I am so in love with the design it makes me so happy every time I look at it! (which could easily be 10 times a day)

See it in it's original post here at the True&Wesson blog.
