Fabulous Firepit

GAAHHH!  LOVE it!  How warm and rustic and cozy...

Starting Today....

It's getting down to crunch time... a little less that 7 months to go and all of my (half-hearted) attempts at getting in shape have failed.  I have been running for cardio but I know there are certain portions of my body which will be, shall we say,  "highlighted" by my dress (Heeellooo arms/back/shoulder) and need MAJOR work.  So, I'm going to give this a whirl...

And because it could never hurt for the seamstress to have to take it in at the waist...

Wish me luck!

Origami Invitations

I LOVE to see different uses of paper for invites; it is so fun and personal and truly sets the tone for the event.  I definitely let out a little gasp when I saw these pretties - how sweet are they?!  Would they not make the perfect save the date?

Think of all of the color/texture paper possibilities! Wouldn't they would be an adorable idea for a valentine's day party or bridal shower invite too!  And perhaps best of all, they are DIY - click here for the instructions and template!  Loving Eat Drink Chic; so many fabulous designers in Australia!

Tasty Treats

How amazingly yummy and cute would it be to have pretty little ice cream sandwiches such as these passed either as guests leave an afternoon wedding or prior to an outdoor ceremony?

Not your elementary school cafeteria ice cream sandwiches - how adorable are these?!  And they come from a DIY feature on Twig&Thistle.  (why, oh why do I have to find these on the first day of my diet...)  Someone please make and enjoy them for me!!!

A Burlap Tray

Maybe it's the magic of a camera lens but it looks an awful like a tray made from stiffened burlap to me!

Must find one (or four) for appetizer passing...

Paper; Return Addresses

It's really the little things that I love... like the return address & labels on these adorable invites/save the dates - "the future Mr & Mrs"... You've all probably seen this a dozen times, but it just caught my eye today!

Oh my; Moss!

Such a long past 24 hours...  it was so nice to find these pretty pictures displaying a new (to me) creative use for one of my all-time favorites:  moss! What a great idea for a seating chart.

(The couple are professors and named the tables after social theorists - hence the textbook like pictures of men in place of table numbers.)  Found on Style Me Pretty

I found this one a little while ago and have been holding it in the archives - might be a bit un-appetizing for some, but I think it's pretty cool!  Found on OnceWed ?

Ruffled: An Orchard Garden Wedding

So this wedding featured on Ruffled took place at the groom's parent home/backyard - oh my god...
Can you even imagine how amazing it would be to get married here:

and then walk through this to the reception space:

mmmm loving the lounge area (naturally):

I can't get over the mixture of the colors - so many pretty accents to the white and sage color scheme. Who says you need to stick to a palette of 2 or 3 (I know I won't!)

the bright red just pops against the neutrals!

I only picked my favorites but there is SO much more to see - go look at the full post over at Ruffled.

Two Dresses

Oh how I wish I could have two weddings - if only to be able to wear two dresses! (I know I technically could, but I'm not that into the idea of 1 dress for the ceremony, 1 for the reception).  I absolutely adore some of the new shorter dress styles -  they are so flirty, fun, and romantically sweet! If we were having a summer garden party inspired wedding there is a good chance I might have opted for one of these pretties!

Cupcakes & Cashmere: Blush

Another favorite, favorite, favorite blog - Cupcakes&Cashmere (love just the name alone!) This board is such a pretty display of blush toned pink - so sweetly chic!  I would wear any number of these pretty little ones to a spring bridal shower..

mmm... and especially love the sunglasses and that fab heel!  Check out the full post and where to buy - Cupcakes&Cashmere.   Oh and yes,you are correct, that Essie color is the one and only "blushing bride".

This is Glamorous

If I could just curl up and live in a blog it very well may be This is Glamorous.  Every post is so beautiful and inspiring.  My current favorite is "Beautiful Reflections".  Love the idea... love the image... wish just 1 of my bathrooms looked even remotely close to this pretty... sigh...

Raining Flowers

Hmmm... I think I might just love this hanging flower buds idea...

These images are from a Twilight Inspired wedding shoot which I have seen all over the place (SMP, Erineverafter, hostessblog).  While I can't say I've ever picked up one of the books, I am definitely drawn to this inspiration.

French Inspiration in Philly

I think this is the most beautiful, perfect wedding I have ever laid eyes on. Truly.

Lavender heart wreaths...

What are those center greens?!  Love them!

A moss box and stones with well wishes written on them.

And, of course, loving the lavender favors

No word to describe this place setting but pretty!

The bread was baked into little flower pots - does it get any sweeter than that?!

Mason jar mugs - mmmmmhhhhhmmmmm!

A little sparkle never hurt anyone!

AH-MAZ-ING welcome back with the little birds stamp used throughout the wedding.

These are just a few of my favorite images.  Really, my little copy-and-paste job does not do this justice - go look at the full spread on Style Me Pretty.  Now... really... go... look at it!!!!

Green Rustic Bird Themed Wedding

In the spirit of St. Patty's day here is a pretty little green wedding with some fun rustic bird themed accents - so sweet!

Take a look at this table:

And now for the close-ups...

The birdcage for envelopes

Birdseed; an eco-friendly way to shower the bride&groom

The Cake - simple but with such pretty decorative accents! (and gotta love the wooden base)

I'm so loving the use of chalkboards and, of course, all of the little mossy touches!

A Mini E-Tower

Nothing to do with the wedding, I just think I need to have this...

In our old (1849!) house we have so many doors, and this would be just a perfect accent to hold one open!
