Photo Love
I've known that it would be important to me to somehow integrate family photographs into our reception but was not sure how... until now. I cannot claim this find as my own - it was brought to my attention by Sarah & Lucinda while discussing paper and our wedding design on Friday - but naturally I fell in love with the idea. What a fantastic way to show off vintage family photos (and, of course, I love the use of the tree stumps!).

Hay Seating
Hay. One of the quintessential elements,to me, of a Rustic Chic event... Hey - (no pun intended) I even used it to title this blog! Such a versatile object, one can dress it up, dress it down, scatter it around, gather it in bundles, or even make SEATING out of it. One of my very favorite ideas to be incorporated into our wedding is a comfortable yet chic lounge area; and you can bet there will be some form of a hay seating element as a part of it!
A hay couch
Hay coffee table/seating
and it works with such a variety of color palettes...
Look - you could even do it at home for a summer party - or a shower, how fun!
I would, however, suggest adding some cushioning or a blanket to protect bare legs from being scratched.

Suzanna March Photography
A few weeks ago Dan & I had the amazing opportunity of doing a winter engagement shoot with Suzanna Guidone of Suzanna March Photography. I cannot begin to say enough wonderful things about Suzanna. She is enormously sweet, talented, creative and truly was able to make 2 nervous people feel comfortable in front of a camera lens. Here are a few of my favorites:
Please be sure to check out more of her work at Suzanna March Photography!
Both Dan & I attended Assumption College for our undergraduate studies and met in Worcester; so it was only fitting to do a shot or two with the AC sweatshirts!

Vintage Earrings & Burlap Love...
In my travels across the internet in search of all things rustic chic, this time in particular french burlap table runners, I happily stumbled upon a gorgeous blog - EAB Designs. Whoa. Absolutely stunning accessories for the home and for you! Please check out her shops on Esty : EAB Designs and (for her jewelry line) The Pemberley Collection. It's hard for me to pick my favorite because, honestly, I want them all! But since my birthday is coming up....
How amazing is this tote! The ruffles! The flower! The burlap! Wouldn't it be a great inspirational piece for me to carry all of our wedding plans around in?
And then I just couldn't decide between the three of these! I would love to own and wear any/all of them!
Wouldn't these look beautiful on the bridesmaids too? hmmmm...

Champagne Wishes
Champagne on ice, what a welcome sight. Who wouldn't love to be greeted by a frosty vintage silver tub of bubbly?! Where wouldn't it fit in; an evening bridal shower, bachelorette party, in the bridal suite, the possibilities are endless...
Not only do I love the taste, but I love a pinkish-champagne as an accent color in a rustic chic wedding!

Cotton
One of my most favorite things about planning our wedding is seeing how creative other people have been and drawing inspiration from them (hence, this blog!) Two days in a row now I have been happily surprised in seeing "ordinary" items turned into focal points of a wedding design. Today's ordinary item: cotton. I love cotton tees, love cotton sheets (800 thread count Egyptian anyone?), love cotton summer handbags, and today - love cotton blossom wedding decor. Absolutely natural rustic chic!
From an organic wedding posted on Green Wedding Shoes:
Beautiful little details
and how gorgeous is that bouquet?!
and of course I love the use of bark!

Baby's Breath
I had always discounted baby's breath as a basic filler flower... until seeing this post on Ruffled. Now I see that uses for this flower span multiple areas of decoration bringing in a lovely soft and whimsical, yet elegant, romantic chic feeling.
On a Dessert Table
The cake and treats almost seem to float in tablecloth of bb (also love the lighting!)

Isn't this reminiscent of heavenly clouds... how dreamy to walk down an aisle of baby's breath! All images from Ruffled

Pretty things, Pink
Pink. As it is only an accent color in our wedding inspiration (pale pink to be exact), I have not given pink a lot of blog-time, so I thought that in honor of Valentine's day I'd take some time to highlight a few of my favorite PINK things...
and a few other delicious images I couldn't resist sharing;
chocolate and pink - a great combination!

Pretty... Oh so Pretty...
In my daily perusing of wedding blogs I came across the below photos on Once Wed taken by photographer Corbin Gurkin. I was immediately taken with the sparkley rustic feel exuding from the images.
So taken by these I dug deeper, searching the Corbin Gurkin Photography blog and happily found the below additional shots from the amazing 2009 wedding.
Still digging, I found that the Bride (who's name just so happens to be Erin as well) has a fabulous blog "Erin Ever After" which is brimming with dreamy wedding, design, and life inspiration. Definitely a new daily read!
