As I've mentioned in previous blog posts one of my oldest and dearest friends (is that saying too grandmotherish? Oh well, it is fitting in our case!) is getting married this labor day weekend. I am so honored to be in her wedding and beside-myself thrilled that she will be in mine! A few weekends ago her shower was held at the Pine Orchard Yacht & Country Club in Branford, CT - it was nothing short of perfection! An underlying color palette of pink and navy set the fun/preppy mood, enhanced by a beautiful day, spectacular water views, good friends, and a pretty darn impressive pile of gifts! A few amateur shots from my good old point and click to share a few highlights of the day with you, beginning with the gift table!
Honorable mentions go to the fabulous gift basket that the bride's sweet mom made up - all goodies for baking and to the basket of wine (supplied by the MOH a few of the bridesmaids) which accompanied a wine fridge but most of all came along with a lovely poem (written by the oh-so-talented b'maid Bridget) describing how each bottle was to celebrate a different life milestone together. My personal favorite was the line about the non-alcoholic sparkling cider to toast the news that a little one is coming - but no pressure Marissa!
A few shots of the invite & recipe box (we all had to bring a recipe card for her!) and tables...
She did a great job of smiling as she opened all of her gifts, one of my favorites was her new monogram apron!
Really!! How cute is she?!?!
Oh, and a round of applause to bridesmaid Emily who did an excellent job of announcing and displaying what items Marissa opened so that all those watching could play bridal shower bingo!
and finally; all 9 of us with the beautiful bride!
and because I know you wanted to see it up close - a good shot of that amazing ribbon bouquet!
It was an absolutely wonderful day and only made me even more excited for all of the upcoming festivities for Marissa & Steve's wedding. xoxo

Looks like a blast! I love the color scheme and those centerpieces are cuteness!!
