I Heart Trucks: Incorporating Food Trucks into your Wedding

Food trucks that is! They are both fun and functional and add an edible touch of whimsy to any event.  While out to dinner last week the topic of rehearsal dinners came up (don't get me started on that - I still haven't booked mine and it's oh, 3 months from yesterday!) someone I was dining with mentioned that his son, who is getting married this fall, is having the In-N-Out Burger truck come to their house for the RD (they live in California).  He thought this was a silly idea and had tried to talk them out of it, but I sat there and nearly fell off my chair.  Ever since then I feel as though the idea of using a food truck has been haunting me, popping up all around the internet as I go about my daily browsing.  Like this gorgeous event featured on ErinEverAfter

Plus it had a chalkboard menu and hay bale seating and we all know I'm a sucker for that!

And then there was in infamous In-n-Out truck featured on stylemepretty.
Now you know that it's a fab idea when it's featured on a SMP wedding!

Not to ignore the idea of the dessert truck - I know we've all seen the colorful Ben&Jerry's Truck used in weddings around the net!

I then got to googling around a bit and found out that here in Connecticut we even have our own special food truck - it may not be an airstream trailer - but we have the cupcake truck!

New Haven's Own;  The Cupcake Truck

Done right, I think a food truck would be an amazing and memorable addition to any kind of event - a late night snack or pick your own cupcake at a wedding, pizza truck to dine alfresco for a rehearsal dinner, or maybe even used for a more casual BBQ or neighborhood block party.
