Bridal Showers! I have 4 of them (including my own) coming up this summer and I cannot wait! I know many people often dread the thought... sitting and watching the bride open box after box of dishtowels, place settings, pots, pans, knives, small appliances but now being a bride myself I have a new appreciation for the shower. Because I know know what it means for the bride, and that while she may get tired of smiling and exclaiming "Oh - yay! another salad bowl - I just love this bowl, don't you? It will be perfect for when I host my next dinner party" I know she really does mean it and truly wants the items she registered for (at least I hope you all do because I know I really do want everything I registered for!)
Shower Designs
This is the really fun part! Your bridal shower should be a fun relaxed and happy event. Many times it is hosted at the MOB's home, or the home of a close relative, other times it is an outdoor event, garden party style, or at a restaurant, or a country club. Sometimes it is themed; either to match the wedding inspiration or in a totally different way; Around the Clock Showers, Jack & Jill Showers, Cooking/Baking focused showers... you get the idea.
I love the idea of a bright flowery bridal shower and this board from 100layercake is, to me, the perfect embodiment of that. And how cute is the idea of the golden children s building blocks?!
that color palette, along with maybe some little accents like these tags found on eatdrinkchic
along with a cute little banner... my favorite is this DIY from RuffledBlog
and I'm just dying to try these caramel & sea salted brownies, so we'll throw those in for dessert - YUM!
and perhaps not for a floral shower but how adorable are these cupcake toppers from Smitten

Love the gold blocks, the bunting, and I so want to try those sea salt brownies!!!!
ReplyDeleteCute post! I loved my bridal showers. I didn't even get a chance to do a post about them yet b/c my shower was the week before my wedding and rolled right into everything but it was so much fun!
