I find that planning our wedding has taken over a small part of my brain, thus I am continually noticing little details EVERYWHERE which might somehow be used in bringing to life our Rustic Chic inspiration. For example, while doing a bit of Christmas shopping at the Taken for Granite open house yesterday (such a beautiful store; it is not hard to find inspiration) I found myself wanting to purchase more than a few items for our wedding! Luckily for my wallet, and those for whom I was purchasing gifts, I refrained. Unable to get wedding decor out of my head I searched around the web for some images of like items to satisfy the urge...
the artichoke statue (like those I wanted at TFG) from grandin road
numbered galvanized pots by anthropologie - perfect for table numbering!
I actually already own a set of these amazing candlestick pieces from at west end
I love the use of domes as a way to accent a special item - perhaps one or two place on the mantel of the fireplace at Saltwater Farm dome nests image via thestylesisters completely head over heals for the monogrammed burlap - found via Ruffled Bog
a wooden door; what a beautiful way to display old family wedding photos Kate Webber image - wedding featured on SMP

So I just stumbled across these custom vases handcrafted by one of the talented vendors of Etsy.com... you WILL see at least one of these incorporated into our wedding decor in some way/shape/form!

here is an example of how another lucky bride used this style of vase at her wedding!

I'm definitely copying this entire inspiration board from a post on www.getmarried.com because I just loved every bit of it! The cake & candelabra may be a bit much, but there are definite Rustic Chic elements (look at those moss initials!) which I may want to borrow...

A posted titled "A Secret Garden Wedding" from my new favorite wedding blog... I cannot believe it took me so long to find it!
Again, bordering a bit more of a Rustic Elegance Chic vibe but absolutely a delight for the eyes!

Another obsession... creative place cards - I just love them!
this appeals to my original provincial inspiration...
this knot has the potential to be so simple & chic...
love the mixture of handwriting - so eclectic!
very vineyard! (stylemepretty)
oh so cute - (moss is becoming more and more appealing to me lately...)
And now for a few fun ones which aren't very Rustic Chic but I couldn't resist!
If Dan had his way this is probably what our place cards would look like!
these are so fresh and fun!
(rats... can't remember where I found this - I think SMP)

Sunday was such an amazing day - and so full of wedding inspiration! Check out Sarah's blog (The Launch of Wedding Row) for some beautiful photos by the oh-so-talented Anna Sawin (more on her to come... hint hint) and while you're there also be sure to check out the flower arrangements by Hana Floral Design (another hint) and let me know what you think!

Since Saltwater doesn't have a designated cocktail hour reception space we are hoping to create one using one of the outside patios and its loft area. (another great Sarah idea!)
Let's start with a fireplace to quell that October evening chill...
...and maybe a neat shabby-chic vintage tufted couch like this (bonus - I could put it in my living room afterward!)...
... a tree stump end-table or two...
...some pretty yard stake vases to mark the perimeter of the space...
...a few more seats (with some decorative throw blankets and pillows)...
...and of course, as we are at a vineyard, a wine barrel table...
